WHAT IS HALLEL?

In 1974 Hallel Institute was founded in New York State as Not-For-Profit Corporation.

In 1993 Hallel Institute was approved by The New York Archdiocese as a private community of the faithful dedicated to serve the communications needs of the Church.

Hallel celebrates its 30th Anniversary. New video programs are being produced. Production services are offered to national and diocesan communities. Its international School of TV and Radio Production trains Catholic communicators from mission countries. The distribution rights of Hallel programs are granted to independent distributors and cable television networks.

MISSION
To use social communications media in the service of Spirituality and Faith.
"Go into the whole world and proclaim the good news to all creation".     Mark 16:45

PURPOSE
To produce quality television and radio programs which satisfy the spiritual hunger of contemporary audiences and fill the emptiness which often characterizes today's entertainment industry.

HISTORY
Hallel was founded in 1974 as a reflection of the significant changes in our society, culture and religious institutions.

Hallel communicators traveled around the world making documentaries about the material as well as spiritual needs of the poor.

The vision of a new world, the help of institutions and individuals, sustained Hallel during these 30 years of communication service to the Gospel.
